I was born into the tradition of hurling in the parish of Kilnamona

County Clare.My father taught me the craft of hand made hurley

making in my youth and it was a skill that matured along with me.I

played hurling for the parish until I went to London at the age of 21

whare I worked as a carpenter.Their I continued my passion

for the sport,playing for The Desmonds Hurling Club,winning five

County titles and also playing for the London Seniors Hurlers.

 

County Clare is Famous for two things-tarditional music and hurling.

as Anthony Daly so aptly said in September 1995"In Clare we love

our traditional music,but we also love our hurling"This statement

lifted the hearts of musicians and hurlers alike.Nicholas Rynne

truly Irish.I can make a copy of any existing hurley.
